# Quick Notice — Announcements

_Clear alerts that keep customers informed_

Build an announcement, a banner or a popup in the app, drop one block into your theme, and it shows up styled the way you set it — with buttons that actually do something and counts of who saw it.

## The information was there. Nobody was looking at it.

Shipping delays, holiday cut-offs, a stock issue on one vendor's products — the answer sits on a policy page nobody opens, and the ticket arrives anyway.

- **The shipping-delay notice lives on a FAQ page customers never visit.** → Put it in the page they are already on — inline in a section, or as a popup they have to acknowledge.
- **A message meant for one country goes out to everyone, and confuses the rest.** → Target by country, device, campaign source, cart contents or customer tag, so only the right visitor sees it.
- **A banner gets edited into the theme, then forgotten in the code for months.** → Notices live in the app, not in your theme. Change the wording once, and nothing is left behind when you uninstall.
- **Nobody can say whether the announcement reached anyone or was never rendered at all.** → Every notice counts the storefront visitors who saw it, listed beside it in the app, so a message nobody reached is visible as one.

## Everything a notice needs to be worth reading

One editor for the words, the look, the buttons and who sees it — with a live preview of the notice as it will render where you are publishing it.

- **Inline or popup**: Render the notice inside any theme section, or as a centred popup over an overlay. Same notice, one setting.
- **Styled to your store**: Background, border style, width, corner radius, spacing, title and body colour, weight and size, plus the close mark — all set in the app, no CSS.
- **Buttons that do something**: Up to three. Each one can dismiss the notice, redirect somewhere, set a cookie, or add and remove products from the cart.
- **Targeting**: Show it by device, visitor country, utm_source, what is in the cart (vendor, SKU or product type) or the customer's tags.
- **Also in checkout**: Build a notice for checkout instead of the theme, and the checkout UI block renders it — pick which one by pasting its key into the block's setting.
- **View counts**: Each notice counts the storefront visitors it was shown to, listed next to it in the app.

## Three steps, and the theme file stays untouched

- **Write the notice**: Title, rich-text body, an optional image or icon. Style it and preview it as it will look in the theme and in checkout.
- **Add the block once**: In the theme editor, add the Quick Notice block to the section you want it in and paste the notice's key. That is the only theme change.
- **See who saw it**: Views are recorded from the storefront and shown next to the notice, so you can tell whether the message is actually reaching anyone.

## What merchants put in a notice

- **Shipping and cut-off dates**: The delivery cut-off, a carrier delay, a holiday closure — on the page, not buried in a policy link.
- **Promotions with a next step**: Announce the offer and let the button add the promoted variant straight to the cart.
- **Consent and acknowledgements**: A popup with Accept and Cancel, shown once per session, with the accept action writing a cookie.
- **Cart-specific warnings**: A note that only appears when a particular vendor, SKU or product type is in the cart — oversize items, pre-orders, restricted goods.
- **Country routing**: On Plus, send visitors from selected countries to the right regional store, automatically or after they confirm.

## Two plans, and the free one is a real plan

- **Free** — Free. One notice, with none of the notice features held back.
- **Plus** — 9 USD/month. Unlimited notices, plus the redirect rule engine.

## Questions merchants ask

### Do I have to edit my theme code?

No. Quick Notice ships as a theme app block, so you add it from the theme editor like any other section block and remove it the same way. Nothing is written into your theme files, and nothing is left behind when you uninstall.

### What access does the app ask for?

Read-only theme access, and that is the whole list. The app never writes to your store, never edits products or orders, and never places a charge of its own — billing is handled by Shopify.

### Where can a notice appear?

Anywhere in your theme you can add a section block, either inline in the layout or as a popup over an overlay. There is also a checkout block, so a notice built for checkout can appear on the checkout page.

### Can I show a notice to only some visitors?

Yes. A notice can be limited by device (desktop or mobile), the visitor's country, the utm_source they arrived with, what is in their cart (vendor, SKU or product type), or the tags on the logged-in customer.

### What can the buttons do?

Each notice can have up to three buttons, and each button dismisses the notice, redirects to a URL, sets a cookie so the notice stays away, or adds and removes specific product variants from the cart.

### What is on the free plan?

One notice, with all of the notice features — styling, buttons, targeting, your choice of theme or checkout placement, and the count of visitors it was shown to. The Plus plan at $9 a month lifts the limit on notices and unlocks the redirect rules.

### What are redirect rules?

A Plus feature that routes storefront visitors by country. A rule can redirect automatically or ask for confirmation first, invert its country list, keep the visitor's current path, append UTM parameters to the destination, and skip anyone on an allowlisted IP or URL.
